OFF-GROUND AGRICULTURE
The second project designed by BLOOM PROJECT & DAFNAE involves the development of low environmental impact soilless cultivation methods.
We work in developing countries by researching techniques and designing low technological input cultivation plants, checking the possibility of using alternative substrates favoring industrial food waste, such as rice husks or peanut shells, depending on the locally available solutions in the countries of intervention.
A waste can become a resource to grow again out of the soil, generating a virtuous circular economy. This cultivation improves the use and management of water and increases the efficiency of use of fertilizers, reducing their exploitation.
